Dialysis went by fast today and that's a good thing. I'm at about a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10. Caroline is coming to visit me tonight before going back to Los Angeles. She only has about three hours so we'll just have dinner and relax although relaxing with Caroline is not really possible. My sister is picking her up at the train station and bringing her over to me. They don't like me to drive.
...She arrived in a whirlwind. We had chinese food for dinner and as fast as you can Mu Shu Pork she was gone. We did have a nice time and she'll be back in August for a few months to do a play in New York.
I'm up late right now. Well, late for me. It's about midnight. I can't sleep and I'm not sure why I'm so restless. I don't know if it's the Cytoxan or just me. Although, I don't think anything is ever just me. It's one of the medications that I take. Maybe I'll try to go to sleep again.
I got Bill Turner's Memorial DVD in the mail today. I have to watch it one of these days.

I've been feeling very tired today (Monday and Tuesday). I'm not sure what it is. It's now Tuesday afternoon and I'm starting to feel a little better. I 'm getting a little more energy and I'm not as short of breath as I was yesterday. I've been doing the xopenex treatment every four hours and that's been helping me.
My sister brought me up lots of things to eat but I still have to make it out to pick up a prescription and some pineapple juice or apple juice.

I don't feel great today. I threw up three times. Mostly fluid. I have very little energy. I just want to sleep. I took my BP and it was 135/80 with a heart beat of 92. I called my niece to see if someone would come over and make me an egg. Last night it was very difficult to get to sleep. I finally fell asleep at around 5:00AM and then I didn't want to get up the rest of the day. I was supposed to go to a barbecue but I just couldn't. I didn't have the energy and I didn't want to sit outside in the heat.

It's Saturday: at 9:00AM I got a full hour massage from Dana. Then I came home. I was going to a party but I thought it best that I pass. I'm a little short of breath, especially when I'm active. Whenever I do anything, I get short of breath.
Now, I'm home. I had a couple chicken legs for brunch. I'm going to just relax and not drink a lot. I'm looking forward to Monday, already, so I can get all the fluid out of me. I want to make sure this Cytoxan works.
2nd day going into third day. I was .2 under my dry weight and that made me totally exhausted. I had to use a wheelchair to get home and then right into bed. I could hardly move. Marybeth brought me over dinner (shrimp cocktail and chicken legs). I ate everything and fell asleep. During the evening I got up a few times and had some to drink. I gradually got my strength back and I'm feeling good now. It's after midnight. So far so good. I had a little headache but I took a couple tylenols and it went away.

Before I went to bed I took Singular 10MG.

My first day of Cytoxan injection was very smooth. They gave me the medicine that help me from getting sick. The entire injection took about six hours. At first I was confused then it all got clear to me. I did get short of breath for a little while but then I did a treatment and I felt much better. Now it's about two hours after getting the cytoxan and I'm feeling great. I even can go so far to say that I'm breathing better. I don't want to jump to any conclusions but it does feel better. Tomorrow I'll dialysis and get all the poisons taken out of me. I also took medication that would prevent me from getting an infection in my bladder. Dr. Albert seemed to have covered all the bases.

I talked to the Chemo nurse, Christa, and she told me that I would be getting 1/2 the fluid and 1/2 of the medication. She will tell me why when I arrive tomorrow.
I'm a little nervous about this and I wish someone was coming with me. I guess I have the driver with me.

It's over 100 degrees outside today. My sister, Janet, visited me and we had a good time. A good time for her is to throw things away and get me to file things. She brought me some bagels from my favorite bagel place.
It's getting closer to me starting the chemo and I'm getting a little nervous about it. I'm sure it's just me and not knowing what to expect. I would like to go out and drive down to the beach but I can't go out. I can't breath out there. I'm keeping my apartment very cold. I've been coughing so I've been taking a few hits of Robitussin. I've also been doing xopenex treatments every four hours. I can feel a heaviness on my chest sometimes. It comes and goes.
